Been there Been there is a new community-driven travel tips website.
The site combines a fixed taxonomy of countries with a folksonomic tagging by users.
Kitsite's REST API is used to post user-submitted content into the content repository. The Kitsite search taglib (based on Lucene) is used to deliver filtered, full text searches in HTML and RSS formats.
Submitted content is post-moderated by staff using moderation queues in the Kitsite backend user interface.
Been there is part of the Guardian network of websites.
